I'm seeing exactly what you are in Google Maps, no island in Map view, but Satellite view is o.k. Google Earth is fine, probably because it doesn't have a map only view. One of the stranger Googlemapisms.

I'm just curious if I'm the only one having this problem currently. When I open Google Maps, Beaver Island and the surrounding islands in Lake Michigan are gone. They show up on the satellite views, but not in the map views. When I zoom in on Beaver Island, the roads show up, but no land.

Is Google re-writing geography now?
