Down past the locks, or up above the Peace Bridge?

She would have sent her work barge in to do the buoy work, that's why she was just sitting there then gone. She replaced EU7 that had been damaged earlier and had a temporary buoy placed.

They never go into the river. They arrive off the Traffic Buoy, bob around out there, and then depart, and the next thing you know they are off Dunkirk, Long Point, Port Colborne, or somewhere. Sometimes they will sit on the hook for hours, just off Buffalo, or yesterday, they arrived South of the shipping channel off Lackawanna.

What do the Canadian cutters do when they arrive off Buffalo, and then a few hours later, they are gone without ever stopping in port? I noticed that they zippy zoom around the lake to different positions all day long, but what are they doing out there?
