Removed them with chain- it was laying on the dock- saw crane swing chain onto land both pockets were empty.lots of activity going onboard her also. now i see she is in transit downbound

By removing do you mean they were taking them out of their anchor pockets on the bow , or were they cutting them off the anchor chain ? If they were taking them out of their pockets and putting them on the dock , it`s possible that some anchor pocket steelwork may have be required . If they were cutting them off that would strike me as a bit odd .

Drove past Algosoo today in Port Colborne at stone dock area.
they were removing her bow anchors anyone know why
