I remember this scene from watching it from the Holy Cross church parking lot at the age of 15.

I'm going through some of my old photos and ran across these of the ice jam in the St. Clair River during the spring of 1984 and scanned them into my computer. These were taken just below Marine City and I believe the freighter is Captain Metz's.
