Monday: A mid-morning break in the storm and I headed to the river to catch Saginaw. Water is still ice-free and whipped up by a frigid wind.

nice pics it does seem strange for me not to see ice this time of year. normally ice is a problem late in season.

Ship traffic has really slowed down in recent days with so many already in lay-up. There's a lake-effect snow advisory for St. Clair County tomorrow. We may get up to 5" before it's over! Wish I had a fireplace, but hot cocoa and a blanket wrap should keep me warm.
