Looks to me like the EPA had issues with the procedures that were used in the collection and analysis of the samples - not with the results of the analysis of the samples.

The Soo Locks Web Cams are on a planned delay by the Corps. I don't remember how long the delay is, but that is the reason that you will not see the boat that you are hearing on the scanner on the Cams. I believe this has to do with homeland security and has been going on for some time now.

Same here in the UP of Mich. A little snow, a little warm weather, and then a cool down, the recipe for ice. That has happened a lot up here this year. Our driveway is full of ice also.

I noticed on the Vessel movement page that the Michipicoten was upbound from Essar Steel at 1850 on the 18th of January. That means the she will be above the Locks for the duration of the Locks closing. Will the Michipicoten go into lay-up or will she continue to ferry ore from Marquette to Essar ...

To be accurate, and have a large enough anchor, wouldn't the correct weight be calculated on the loaded weight? Just a thought.

Looks like the guy on the right has a weighted cord/line that he is swinging around, hopefully to get it to the ship. I would suppose that once the small line was across, then gradually larger lines could be pulled across until the tow line could be brought over and attached. Does that make sense?
