Thank you much for the picture of the Willowdale, much appreciated.

I love the picture of the Imperial Midland. I was on her in 1961-62 and 63 after she was converted to the Willowdale. Probably my favourite job in all my time sailing.

I have for sale a binnacle off of the S/S Hochelaga for sale. The highest bid over $2000.00 US takes it. It's very heavy so it must be picked up in Ontario. Will not be shipped. It's from Henry Brown and Sons Type89523

I for one would love to see more of the same. I found some of my relatives in the marine appointments.

I believe the Starbelle used cables when she split her deck in 1959 or 1960.

I was up there with the Coalfax in 1960 and again with the Joseph Medill Paterson in 1965.

I sailed the Progress and Olympic and they are not sister ships.

I would certainly vote for the name Lemoyne. There's a lot of history behind that name. She was the largest ship on the lakes for a good number of years.

If your going through Ontario you should stop in Gravenhurst and see the RMS Segwun, the oldest coal fired ship in North America. Pretty cool!

I wouldn't go through there any deeper than 25' and then I check down because of the squat. There are some shallow spots at the south end. Most loaded ships avoid this passage and only go through there light ship.

The Artic was also in PWD in the early eighties.

I was into Michipcoten Hrb. 2 or 3 times in the mid nineties with slag out of Dofasco in Hamilton.
Marathon was getting a couple of tankers a year up untill about 2007.
