They did the same thing Oglebay Norton did by over extending themselves and spreading too thin. They screwed themselves way before they were taken over. North American assets are still making money do they should be safe. At least that is the talk around here. (North Shore)

I believe it was two seasons ago the tug Victory lost her Kuber barge during a storm due to a connector issue. After jettisoning the barge she couldn't find it or was unable to retrieve it. It ended up being found by the Saginaw and they lashed it to their side and brought it in.

I'm going to take the positive road and state that some of the best meals I have had in the last couple years have been on GLF boats. I was very pleased. Also have had great meals on CML fleet boats.

Yes, there are control stations at each side as well as front and rear of the pilot house. When I was on the cap used all four stations while maneuvering as we ended up backing into the dock.

I watched the Alder back and ram a couple times while she passed the Callaway over by Port Terminal. It seemed like it took them about a full hour to go 30 feet or so.

I spotted workers on the deck and pilothouse area of the Munson today. The pilothouse door was open for what its worth.

Tarps are also up on the stern and side section of the Republic while in dry dock.

The BNSF dock is broken so often it would really be difficult to figure an average recharge time.

The guest quarters on the Blough are bar none. They spend a couple mill on them. I'll try to find some photos. It is usually either the Blough or Gott that handle "guests" in the way you are describing.
