Thank you both! I'm glad I have the correct information before I made that investment.

This tiny photograph of an eBay listing indicates the flag had considerable red in it, but may have been more ornate.

Gilchrist Flag (1900s)

Unread post by Jared »

I found a guy who reproduces house flags for Steamship companies and I wanted one made for the Gilchrist Transportation Company. All I have is black and white pictures and I thought it was blue, but another historian told me that his sources say it was a red flag with a white "G". Can anyone confirm?

On a fun note, I'm getting a launch flag made for the R.E. Schuck (Hydrus) and one for the Lewis Woodruff (Argus), made for the occasion also.
