A lot of ppl could not even get the cameras...b4....... so the new address has allowed all of those with Chrome etc. get the camerasDenny wrote:Was at the library today and got on the Soo Camera website to look at the 24 hour images from yesterday's traffic of June 5 and can confirm there is indeed a problem with the images. They still have images from June 4 and I had to keep hitting the refresh key to see the June 5 images. The point is, it has to be something then with their website and the changeover from the old address as I never had this issue on the old website address for them.

It has been that way now for quite a while the images are delayed by at least one hour. To follow up on another person's comments, "It may indeed be an Army thing or something related to the Soo Camera website to why some of the previous day's images are not the correct ones." Example would be, for the June 5, 2014 traffic on the 24-hour image page you might get some images yet for June 4 and not for June 5. I have to hit "refresh" everytime on my personal PC at home to get the correct images. Never had to do that before with the old website address. So, it must be related with the new site address now that they've changed it. Hope they get it fixed soon.

I just tried looking at the webcams. Do they not allow you to see the ships going thru live anymore?

I don't know why, probably an Army thing, but the dates are always a day off on the stored images and 'movies'

Re: Soo web cams
Is anyone getting a problem with the 24 hour images? If I go to that and look at say yesterday's traffic, on my PC at times it will show images from June 2 instead of June 3! I have to keep clicking the "refresh button on my PC to get the images for the June 3rd day." I don't know if it is related to my PC or not but, it drives me crazy! Again, anyone else having that same issue as I did not get that on the old web address? Thanks in advance.

Are you getting the "Invalid Certificate" message? Some computer settings result in posting that warning (I was told because it's a military site). All you need to do is click on "Proceed anyway," and the site will open.

At 10:08 June 4 (today) went to the site from the boatnerd Links section - Soo Web Cam. Site worked. Presque Isle was behind -Hon Martin? - down bound for the Poe Lock.
