With the early morning departure of two vessels from the Lake Huron anchorage, it looked like all might be on their way by the end of the day. Then Everlast encountered the ice field between RECOR and Marine City. Pride alone couldn't keep her moving and eventually two Coast Guard cutters joined the effort. When darkness fell, they were still above Algonac.
