Yup, this has been up on Smokstak for a couple months now. Very cool demonstration all together. The Britts do this thing up nice. Wonder where they got the cannon though ?

Regarding the sound of the G-tugs, most steam boats, especially those used on salt water, had closed loop systems, running the exhaust steam into a condensor, thus, no chug-chug-chug would be heard from a tug or freighter.

True.......a nice sound. I look forward to hearing my steam tractor every summer. Ah......the smells of coal/wood smoke, hot oil hot iron, burning paint, and the sounds of the engine bark & whistles !

Not directly related to boats but the sounds are similar to that of the old "G" steam-powered tugs and definitely of the old locomotives. Hope it's enjoyed. https://www.youtube.com/embed/huQhqXiB8O0
