I see it's not working real well today, but it offers an alternative to the Soo Locks webcam.
I'm wondering how long webcams will be available at such installations like the Locks?
I ask that because I've watched the Port of Churchill webcam for the past couple years. I had been on it about 3-4 weeks ago to see the ice conditions in Churchill. Their webcam had been mounted on the grain elevator and offered good views of ships in and outbound from the Port and some interesting views of ships loading.
I went back on the site about a week ago and the webcam link was no longer there. I e-mailed, not really expecting an answer, but I had an e-mail from them today saying they took it down for security and safety reasons. They said they appreciated people being interested in the cam, but they had to take it down to protect their interests.

My thanks as well. When I tried the link, Mesabi Miner was moving past and at the moment (08:40) James R. Barker's bow is showing as they wait their turn to lock through.

Perfect timing. I clicked on the Soo link just as the Blough was entering the locks. Thanks for that link.

From the Soo Webcam site. Soo Locks Webcam Issue: We are experiencing technical difficulties with the Soo Locks Webcam which may take several months to overcome. Thank you for your patience as we work through this matter.

I have not been able to see the whole picture on any of the Soo cams for a month or two. Half the screen is blanked out with a solid gray cover of some type.
