Strange tow in Welland Canal

Just found out from a reliable source that this hull will be named the Niagara Sunset Queen. It is owned by Niagara JetBoats. The owners plan to finish construction in Queenston, on the Niagara River, and the ship will be a dinner/party boat.

Looks like the "party barge" that has been built at Wharf 6 in Thorold during the past couple of years.

Twillingate is a former CCG vessel. Here's a pic that Paul Beesley took the same day (June 13) as the other pic. M.R. Kane is in Toronto.

We still don't know what this 'barge' is.

Looks like a crab boat that we see on "Dangerous Catch".

Twillingate is a town in Newfoundland. Tourist attractions include whale watching tours and Iceburg tours. Maybe a new tour boat.

Out of curiosity, what is the Twillingate?

A mini salty? I would guess it may be a cement or storage barge. Or may be a completed section of vessel being pushed for assembly.

On Saturday the Twillingate and the tug M R Kane brought this strange object down the Welland Canal. Anyone know what this is, and who owns it?
