When I went there I found it and also many other videos suggested that I may want to see. Many other mighty ship videos and others that people here would like.

On July 27, the young gent reporting on the Algoma Strongfield blog site says that they stopped by the Algoma Conveyor's building slip and she is coming along nicely. It sounds to me like some kind of agreement has been met and the construction is continuing on the Conveyor.

May I also had a huge "Thank You" as well to Steve for providing us boatnerds with the link to that show. I stayed up very late into the night last night watching it from my I-Pad. So what if I missed an hour or so of sleep! At least thanks to Steve and providing us with that link, I was able to watch the show and it was well worth it that's for certain. It was interesting watching the loading of wheat in Thunder Bay and how they did it and unloading in Baie Comeau and then reloading the iron ore in Port Cartier and then watching how they unloaded that in Hamilton. What was really interesting is what they said the price of the wheat cargo was worth which was an unbelievable figure of $10 million! Too bad though that they did not say what the price of the iron ore pellet cargo on the return trip was worth! I would have liked to have known that figure and dollar amount as I am sure it would've been enough. At any rate still a great show and thanks to Steve again for providing that link to it!

That's another "Thank You" from me, Steve. The show brought back, to an old sailor in Duluth, a lot of memories that I left 36 years ago . Loaded ore twice on the Clarke in Port Cartier. Unloaded grain once, not in Baie Comeau, but Montreal, the process was the same. Thanks again.

For $2.99 Canadian you can purchase the Algoma Equinox episode on Apple's ITunes. Just search Might Ships and scroll down to TV Episodes.

Would they have the Equinox episode available to purchase on the DVD? I have a DVD set of some of the Mighty Ship Series shows and I seem to recall the PRT one I think is included in it as well but, I am not certain of what seasons I have without looking it up?

The Equinox episode is part of Season 8. The Smithsonian Channel is advertising Season 6 on their web-site. I guess some patience is required.

Keep an eye on YouTube, Discovery Canada might upload it there at some point. I think they're the same channel that made the PRT episode and that's been on YouTube for a while now. Of course, that episode was made a number of years ago.

Just checked my TV lineup and it appears that the Equinox show will only be aired in Canada and not in the U.S. on Discovery here. I have Comcast and Mighty Ships is shown on the Smithsonian Channel here in the Metro Detroit area however, I do not see any type of show with the Algoma Equinox listed. Surely in time it will be shown here in the U.S. and looking forward to seeing it then.

Both the PRT and Equinox episodes have great footage and interviews with the crews. Where these shows fall down (and others on Discovery) is the exaggerated urgency of the narration. Some of it is cringe-worthy. They should stick to the facts; they're interesting on their own.

Just re-checked the schedule on the Algoma Equinox episode of the "Mighty Ships." It will not be shown again on August 5th as they have the Paul R. Tregurtha episode listed from 7-8 P.M. and also an episode on I believe it is a Heavy Lift Ship from 8-9 P.M. also on August 5th. So, point is if you missed the Algoma Equinox episode from 7-8 P.M. on Sunday evening, it repeats again but only on August 3 from 5-6 P.M. that evening. If you can somehow tape the episode, might want to get your VCR or DVR out and try it.
