Re: footer anchored off Ludington pier
I am just north of Chicago on the Lake, and looking at a lot of sleet with 40 mph winds from the northeast. Not good weather for any shipping on the southern end of Lake Michigan.

Here's a photo from the Ludington Daily News. Speer definitely is hugging the shore!

Several vessels are anchored off the east shore of Lake Michigan or hugging the shoreline because a storm warning is posted for the southern half of the lake for today and tonight. Winds to 50 knots and waves to 20 feet.

It didn't show up on AIS until I typed in the name. It's the Speer. Showing a Gary destination.Guest wrote:with the Great Lakes markings on the bow it's either the Gott or Speer

Re: footer anchored off Ludington pier
There's not a thousand footer close to Ludington on AIS this morning. The James R. Barker is upbound in the Manitou Passage. The only other boat near is the Algoma Transport and it's showing a destination of Burns Harbor.
Guess it would help to know what time it was anchored.
