Although there's a personal satisfaction photographing the traffic on Lake Huron and the St. Clair River, I always appreciate posts confirming that my intention -- to share my sightings with others -- is appreciated.

Thanks for your posts bookworm! After moving out of the area several years ago, I don't get up to the river as much as I used too. This comes after 25 years of photographing ships passing through the area, so I'm sure our paths have unknowingly crossed before. I have only made it up there 3 times this year thus far, but with a very hot summer and my travels limited to Saturdays and Sundays the light river traffic of lakers has complicated my devoting an 1 - 1/2 hour drive each way to reach Marysville / St. Clair. With cooler weather, I should be able to start getting up there more often for the remainder of the season. Your photos keep me updated on my old stomping grounds!
