When the dredging company came to Duluth last summer the Defiance was tied off to one of the barges. The Ashton towed the whole dredging plant here.

Its Great Lake Dock and Materials' tug Defiance that is (or was) near Detour, not the larger Grand River Navigation tug.

Here is an old photo of the tug. I believe it is painted red and white now.

Also the tug Defiance would be there with their barge Ashtabula as well and not a light tug I don't believe?

They had been part of a dredging job here in Duluth since last summer. Just departed here a few days ago.

AIS shows the tugs Defiance and Meredith Ashton tied up at the Interlake dock in De Tour. Anything to do with the Sherwin?
