City of Milwaukee prop

Good question. I'm a Life Member with the SS City of Milwaukee and I know for a fact that we still have both of ours and as a matter of fact, we had a chipped bucket on one when we did an underwater survey after moving her from Elberta.
The Ann Arbor had both wheels and prop shaft bearings replaced at Bayship during a 5 year in 1980. It could have come from there.
Is there a plaque telling that's where it came from?

Can anyone explain how a propeller from the carferry City of Milwaukee (serving as a museum ship in Manistee, Michigan) ended up as a sidewalk decoration in Duluth near the lift bridge?
Was it surplus? Found at a shipyard? Were the props removed from her after she was laid up? This one appears undamaged. Thanks!
