James R Barker locked up the Poe Lock @ approximately 15:00 with an AIS reporting Two Harbors. If the weather holds and there are no delays I'm guessing an ETA of late on Tuesday the 31st.

Thanks garbear as the last time I looked at Harbor Lookout's site a few days ago, I thought anyway they were listing them as arriving to load in Two Harbors sometime this week subject to change of course as always.

Whatever port she's heading for on Lake Superior she won't be there until Tues. at the earliest.

Thanks Bob+ for that news and update. Gotta love and enjoy any type of salute from the Barker as he has one of the best sounding horns on the Great Lakes as many have suggested and said about it!

The Barker left Bay Ship early Sunday morning around 0745 hrs in a dense fog. It traversed the bay toward Sherwood Pt. It did give a salute when it left.

Must be some mechanical problems on the Barker. The tugs had to move her today to let the Mesabi Miner and Joe block out. Bay Ship workers have been working on her starboard prop for two days now.
