The loader was operating loading a ship when the tornado hit and the operator was killed.Sifto Salt suffered heavy damage and may be out of business for a couple of months.

Early reports indicate that a tornado has struck Goderich this afternoon and that some damage has occurred to the salt mine and the downtown area.
