First Downbound at the Soo

The Burns Harbor is now downbound just below Whitefish Point and heading for the Soo now at 5:45 p.m. on March 24. They will be the first downbound for the Soo and for opening day of the 2021 season as well.

Heads Up Boatnerds as the Burns Harbor left Superior this afternoon on their first trip and run of the season! It looks very likely then that the Burns Harbor should be the first one downbound at least tomorrow at the Soo in the afternoon or evening. The Paul R. Tregurtha is still up in Superior loading their first coal load and cargo of the season and not expected to depart until late this evening. So, be ready and get and have your cameras ready boatnerds as the Burns Harbor is headed to the Soo and your way. Let the games, fun and season begin!
