The Ojibway's unloading gear is designed specifically for grain and specifically to hook up to a grain elevator in Quebec City; don't think it would be able to handle salt well and don't think her owners would run salt through a new system like that. Her system doesn't have a traditional unloading boom, so shoreside cranes would probably still have to unload her despite the gear she has.

She looks to have arrived at the grain elevator in Burns Harbor midday yesterday, and from her trackline it looks like she came in from the north / the open lake, not over from Chicago. Perhaps the vessel passage was in error and she was upbound in ballast.

It's got that makeshift self unloading gear on it now, technically I guess it isn't a bulker any more.

Vessel passage lists Ojibway headed to Chicago with salt. Can't remember a salt cargo on a bulker before. Any word on where it will unload? Grain cargoes must be scarce.
