ABS records indicate she's due for a survey, but there has been no word as to exactly what's happening. Some Facebook rumors have indicated she may be entering lay-up — as always, these are just rumors until we hear anything official. Without anything concrete, "uncertain future" seemed like the best way to describe it for now.Scott wrote: July 9, 2023, 10:00 am Todays Port Report claimed that the Joesph H Thompson was at Bay Ship with a "uncertain future." Re: Joseph H Thompson
That would be a nice turn of events if that were to happen, but more likely it will be moved to Port Colborne once there is room. With the ongoing litigation, would the insurer have to retain the Blough pending the outcome of the court case? If so, that may be why there has yet, as far as I know, any mention of Marine Recycling acquiring the vessel as of yet for scrapping.

Could it be that a 858 x 105 hull sitting down on Lake Erie be in line to become a barge. Just wondering.
