Thanks for posting a picture of the S.S. John Ericsson.I have a old 8mm film on disc that was taken by Ralph Morris of that Whaleback When he worked in the Engine Room.Some of it was taken during a storm.

Cabins look a little pink, too! Stack looks like Bessemer. Obvious before the Ericsson was absorbed into what became USS. At first, USS had bottle green hulls. Did you know that? Rice nice pic, indeed.

Thanks for posting this picture. This is the 1st color picture I’ve seen of the Ericsson with a green hull. Is the hull actually green? All other pictures have her with a black or red hull.
