Companies don't give a damn about paint, whether you or I care. In the real world the bottom line is the bottom line interlakes is a privately owned company co. With about 1/3 the vessels algoma central has. They don't have to answer to shareholders. Ever look at a freight train? Your lucky if you see a car that isn't tagged!

If she is in Erie getting her 5-year done, I hope they paint her up good if they do at all then at least! I recall years ago, the G3 Marquis and Tim S. Dool both had their 5-year surveys done not at Erie though. My point is, each one had a little bit of white around the bow and stern areas. After they were both repainted, the white part was no longer there and got replaced either by an all Algoma deep dark blue or a black? I hope that the Jackman if she gets any repainting done to her, doesn’t look like those two as I hate what they done to both as far as their repainting goes.

Probably her 5 year inspection? The only Canadian yard on the great lakes is port Weller now that thunder Bay has ceased operating. There must be something on the drydock in st. Catharines.

I believe it is from some sort of damage that she suffered and sustained a while back this season. I’m sure someone will have more detailed information on this. Hope this helps.

I may have missed it but does anyone know why she's in the Erie drydock? 5 year? Damage?? TIA
