You are correct Denny, I remember seeing that exact photo of the Sam laud transferring ore from the cort to the dock. I think that photo might be in one of the know your ships issues.

There was one other time when the Cort for some reasons not sure what they were then, loaded ore pellets then went I think to one of the plants at Indiana Harbor. From there they did not unload their ore cargo! Rather instead, the Sam Laud was summoned then to the Stewart J. Cort. The Sam Laud thus received the Cort’s ore cargo therefore it was the Sam Laud not the Cort that unloaded at Indiana Harbor! There was once a picture of this somewhere here on the boatnerd site. I have not seen or find it in quite sometime and perhaps maybe somebody can find it and post it here for all of us to see it then. Thanks.

They unloaded in buffalo {lakawana} a few times in the 70s at the Bethlehem plant. Across the street from the stell mill were dozens of taverns.

Has the Stewart j cort ever unloaded anywhere else except burns harbor? Like have they ever unloaded in Gary or conneaut?
