I am getting confused on the formation of the Bradley Fleet based out of Cleveland.
I am currently reading about Captain Alva Bradley and his son Morris Bradley building a large fleet of ships prior to 1900 and he is listed as a patriarch of the Bradley Transportation Line formed in 1912 as a subsidiary of Michigan Limestone. The Bradley family out of Cleveland still remains a major political force to this day.
However, there seems to be a separate Bradley family living in Presque Isle county that was the birthplace of Charles David Bradley who was president of Michigan Limestone and who's name is on the legendary shipwreck.
Are Alva and Charles related or had anything to do with one another in shipbuilding circles?
