Yes, formerly the Trieste cut down for a barge. She just will not give up. Been in attendance at the Mart Dock for last 15 years or so.

That is Trieste. "Lake Boats No Longer With Us" on Facebook discussed this last year. Here is a Jake Larson photograph of it from last summer, looking identical to what you have posted.

Unidentified barge in Muskegon

Does anyone know the name or the history of this barge seen yesterday in Muskegon? (sorry for the backlit photo. It is in the same slip as the Kate G McAllister and Coleen McAllister so viewing locations on land are somewhat limited.)

Could it possibly be the small foreign freighter Trieste cut down to a barge or possibly being scrapped? There was a festival going on in Muskegon, so many of the normal public viewing areas were closed. So I couldn't see the dock where the Trieste has been tied up for many years.
