Re: Paul r Tregurtha
Hey Bob, thanks for your comments and kind words as they are always appreciated by me. Yes indeed the Century did arrive for layup in Superior at Elevator M and today the 15th saw both the Lee A. Tregurtha along with the Hon. James L. Oberstar arrive for layup in the Twin Ports. The Boland is also expected for layup there once she unloads ore at Algoma Steel at the Soo. Thanks Bob and Be and Stay Safe & Warm my friend. Always great to hear from you Bob and glad you enjoy my reports also.
Re: Paul r Tregurtha
Hey Denny, I appreciate the updates on the prt . I see she loaded at the bnsf docks in superior,Wisconsin the last couple days and is now headed to burns harbor to unload and then probably head to sturgeon bay for layup as you had mentioned. I think I saw that the American century was supposed to layup in superior. As of yesterday when I left town the only ship I saw in layup in superior was the Walter j McCarthy at the lake head pipeline dock. The presque isle and Atlantic Huron are laid up at the port terminal in Duluth and of course the michipicoton is still at Fraser shipyard. I think the Lee a Tregurtha and honorable James l Oberstar are headed for the twin ports for layup. Thank you for your updates Denny as I appreciate the info. Be well my friend and stay safe and warm.
Re: Paul r Tregurtha
The Big Paul departed from Superior BNSF Dock today and is now enroute to Burns Harbor next from Marine Traffic. Once they unload at Burns Harbor, then I would expect to see them head to Sturgeon Bay and BayShip for Lay Up at that point then.
Re: Paul r Tregurtha
Hi Bob my friend, a little more info for you on the PRT and don’t forget that he’s my favorite one of them all as well. As of 8:30 pm ET on January 12, the PRT looks like they are headed for Superior I assume to load ore at the BNSF Ore Dock then. Right ahead of them making their way into Superior right now as I type this is the American Century also headed into Superior as well. I don’t know for sure yet if the Century is going to Superior to load ore or else if they are headed there to layup? At present, I don’t have nor can I access a Twin Port Schedule of vessel traffic at this time. All I can do my friend is check out the AIS and give you information as best as I can for now my friend. Hope this helps you out Bob. Stay Warm and Safe Bob!
Re: Paul r Tregurtha
Bob this may help. I just checked them on Marine Traffic. They cleared the Soo just a few minutes ago at 3:30 p.m. on January 11 heading up to the Twin Ports and your area. I don’t know if they are going there to load a cargo or to lay up for the Winter? There’s nothing showing as far as them heading to the MERC or SMET Coal Dock from what I see on their website for now! Perhaps maybe they are then headed to the Twin Ports to load a cargo? The lay up list on boatnerd the last time I looked at, shows them as laying up at Sturgeon Bay and Bayship this winter then from what I see. Hope that this helps you out my friend. Stay Warm & Safe and Have A good Winter as well friend.

Why hasn’t the prt been showing up on ais? I have not seen the prt on ais since before they loaded at silver bay. I assume they went to burns harbor after that as I saw on the port report that they arrived yesterday early am.
