Come to think of it there aren't ANY cams depicting ship traffic ANYWHERE in Canada, just a bunch of grainy traffic cams on the QEW. OK, maybe a few on the seaway -all set at wide angle, poor quality, boats seem like they're a mile away.

Hey, B’ nerds! I’ve been around this site close to 20 years. It got me ok’ing at what until about 3 years ago was a really awesome live cam at lock 7, Thorold.
About 3 years ago right around opening of season the cam was frozen...stopped! Reason was big renovations! Said they’d be back in 2-3 months. Yeah! It’s now like 3 years!
I’m writing to ask if anybody has a clue what’s going on?
The views were great...closeup to ships...especially salties, ships were slowly moving, gave one a really good look at locking activity. Miss it big time! Specially this time of season.
