Apparently it is, they just departed early this morning after loading in Alpena and they are headed next for Detroit to unload. Hope that this information helps to answer your question on her. I have not seen or photographed her on the St. Clair River since December 2022! However, I also have good & important reasons too for missing her all of these years as I’ve been struggling with health issues as well. Hopefully she stays around long enough then for me someday to see her again and photograph her on the river soon!

Oh no! Alpena has come to a halt only a few miles out! Hope everything is ok with the turbine job!

Looked at ais this morning and she's just sitting out in the lake off Cleveland roughly near the 5 mile water water crib. Anyone know why?

Do they have 83 painted in front of her pilothouse and 1942-2025? Usually every year they change the numbers and paint new ones then. I don’t know or recall just how many years they have been doing this? Anyone know? I haven’t seen Alpena since 2022 believe it or not out on the river then! At that time though, she had 80 and 1942-2022 painted in front of her pilothouse.

Looks like the Alpena has turned off her AIS. Does anybody know what's up with her?
