They are back running again. Departed from BayShip at Sturgeon Bay on September 6 in the morning and now heading to Silver Bay next to load. Due in Silver Bay on September 8 to load. Hope that this information helps.

Photos accompanied by credible-seeming chatter on social media indicate that the ship's self-unloading boom (a retractable/transverse-style rig) needs attention. Photos show the Cort arriving at Sturgeon Bay in ballast from Burns Harbor with the unloading boom still extended out from the port side of the ship's stern.

It must have been extended sometime during the voyage, for whatever reason, and not been able to be retracted. They were steaming full speed up the eastern side of Lake Michigan heading for Grays Reef passage when they suddenly slowed and made the abrupt turn west to Sturgeon Bay. I assume they wouldn't have left Burns Harbor and sailed that course with it stuck extended.

I see that STJ has been in Sturgeon Bay this past week, anyone know why?
