Apparently they got stove in the ice in the river and have to involunteerly layup. The Frontenac has to come back out to make up for her lost trips.

Hit the dock hard at WIndsor. Did not load. Went right to Sarnia with icebreaker assistance. Frontenac coming back out.

Whitefish Bay

Unread post by Denny »

Yesterday, CSL’s Whitefish Bay left from Windsor in the early afternoon and they then arrived later in the evening to lay up in Sarnia at the Grain Elevator Dock. When they were in Windsor though, did they stop and fuel at the Sterling Fuel Dock or was this stopover in Windsor something else that they might have done? Before they arrived in Windsor, the Whitefish Bay had previously delivered a cargo of salt to Chicago from Windsor and at first, I thought perhaps that they were in Windsor to load another cargo of salt at the Ojibway Salt Dock. Now, as I viewed them today on the Live Web Cams from Port Huron it shows Whitefish Bay laid up in Sarnia at the Grain Elevator “pumped out and high and dry then!” So, apparently they did not load salt again in Windsor as I had originally thought. If anyone can please help as far as shedding some further light and info on this then I would appreciate it.
