I believe there is a redesign coming that will return the news page to the old format. There was nothing on the News page about the Mariner because no one let us know it happened,

Thanks for the information. I didn't recall anything about the Algoma Mariner being damaged on the News Page. Maybe its my age, but I feel the old News Page format was easier to search.

I don't know if I missed something at some point, but what caused the damage to the stern of the Algoma Mariner? From the dry dock photo on the January 26, 2026 News Page it looks like it backed into a dock pretty hard. Another observation is how small the propeller looks, unless that is an illusion caused by the zoom value/angle/distance from where the picture was taken.

The Algoma Mariner arrived in Veracruz, Mexico late in the evening hours on January 22nd. Not sure when they will enter the drydock there for their work this winter? They may have been put into the drydock today, January 23rd after arriving late last night in Veracruz but, I don’t have any info on that.

No the Algoma Mariner is NOT loaded as they are empty and headed down to Veracruz, Mexico for drydock work. They will have the exact same thing done to them in Veracruz, Mexico that the Radcliffe R. Latimer had done to her in the previous Winter of 2024/25 also in Veracruz. The Latimer also got a new and fresh coat of paint so, I would expect Algoma Mariner will probably also get some fresh paint applied to her as well. Hope that this info helps you out.
