I wonder what's inside the hulls? Stone? I also wonder what's inside the engine rooms & bow section?

The hulls form the face of the coal dock at Stelco. Pellets are unloaded and coke is stored at the slip to the left.

Can anyone ID or provide some info for these three hulls forming a breakwall at the US Steel plant in Hamilton?
