She was downbound at the Soo on January 20 with the last ore cargo of the season from Marquette. The ship unloaded ore at the Essar Steel Dock in the Soo and then laid-up late the 20th or else early on the 21st sometime.

I haven't seen her AIS for a few days and when it last showed up she was at the Soo. She has laid-up there before and that's probably the case this winter.

Michipicoten

I noticed on the Vessel movement page that the Michipicoten was upbound from Essar Steel at 1850 on the 18th of January. That means the she will be above the Locks for the duration of the Locks closing. Will the Michipicoten go into lay-up or will she continue to ferry ore from Marquette to Essar Steel? I thought maybe they would take advantage of the ship being above the locks.
