Is Gordon C Leitch going into the shipyard at Port Weller? If yes, is she being drydocked for five-year? Thank you.

Anyone know anything about the Gordon C. Leitch being scheduled to depart Montreal for the Lakes early next week? No departure date currently listed on the Port's website, but unlike all the other Montreal layups she's also not designated on that schedule as a laid up / wintering laker.

Those straight-deckers already stripped of equipment are most certainly done. I believe only the Gordon C Leitch could sail again, I think her certificate is good until the end of this season and I understand she has not yet been stripped out. But since she has not run this season and where she is currently laid-up, are two bad signs for her.
Algontario and Canadian Ranger are probably out of class by now.

I doubt any additional boats will need to be fitted-out for the grain trade. With the cooler Fall weather upon us, the power plants at Nanticoke and Lambton will be hardly used because of reduced power demand, so a few of the coal boats servicing those plants could be used to haul grain. Some of the coal boats have high cubic capacity cargo holds, which make them well suited to haul grain. John D Leitch cleared Superior yesterday with wheat and Canadian Enterprise is currently waiting off Duluth for a grain elevator
berth.

with what looks like to be a heavy grain rush this up coming fall any chance any of the vessels that are in long term lay up will sail or are they totally done and just waiting to be scrapped?
