Thanks for posting the link Roger. Neat to see the photos (in the website's gallery) of the barge in drydock. I did not know that the barge had rudders on its skegs. At the time it was built, several magazine articles listed this combo as an articulated tug/barge. Apparently the definition of articulated has changed over the years since it obviously has no connector that would meet today's definition of an articulated tug and barge.

I don't know if it made it to Montreal. I tracked it into Sackets Harbor near Watertown, NY. It arrived back in Cheboygan this afternoon. I assume its docked & delivering at the same place it delivered under the previous owner.

If I remember right the address you gave for GATX is one of there financial offices. [like a bank] That third aircraft might be a division that does charting. GATX rent Rail cars, Rail Power, Air craft eng, aircraft, and is a bank.

When ASC was buying boat GATX did the money end of things. Keeping it all in the family.

If you dig around GATX and there companies you might find out what that division does.

The USCG now lists the ownership for both as Gatx Third Aircraft Corporation, San Francisco, Ca. Anyone know if they will be leaving the lakes?
