Re: Montrealais Grain
Hi,
Thanks so much. Now I have to look up those places. I know where the Gulf of St. Lawrence is. Now will look up the others you named. Thanks

Re: Montrealais Grain
Grain aboard Canadian lakers like the Montrealais is usually headed for transshipment and overseas export at one of the grain terminals on the St. Lawrence River / Gulf of St. Lawrence. Those terminals transfer the grain from lakers to oceangoing vessels that cannot come in to the Seaway because of their size, or have chosen not to because of time constraints/trade route considerations.
Lately a lot of Canadian lakers loaded at CHS in Superior, WI (like the Montrealais) have been headed for the terminals at Quebec City and Port Cartier. If the Montrealais were headed for Quebec City (or to the grain terminal at Montreal) she'd likely be showing up on one of the respective Port Authorities' traffic schedule pages, and she's not. That leaves Port Cartier as a good bet, but it doesn't rule out Sorel, Trois-Rivieres, or Baie-Comeau.
