I have been watching the Lee Tregurtha on the ais site as it enters the Poe lock and also listening to it on the scanner, yet I keep refreshing the soo locks webcam but it isn't showing any vessels in the locks. Anybody know why that would be? (and yes I even have my glasses on lol).

Guest, do you live in the Soo area, or is there a web site that carries the radio traffic of the locks?

It seems to me that I recall several times in reading and hearing that the Soo Locks webcams are on about a one hour time delay. Meaning that the time you see the boat on the camera, you have to either add or subtract an hour and that was the actual time the boat was at the locks. I don't know if there is still an hour delay or not as it may be longer now but, at one time this is what it was regarding the delays.

You are correct Denny. The delay is about one hour.

The Soo Locks Web Cams are on a planned delay by the Corps. I don't remember how long the delay is, but that is the reason that you will not see the boat that you are hearing on the scanner on the Cams. I believe this has to do with homeland security and has been going on for some time now.

The locks cams are not up to the minute live. They have a time delay built in.
