The last cargo of clinker to Essroc in Essexville by the CSL Tadoussac was on June 10, 2010.

The last by the Frontenac was August 26, 2009

I agree that the clinker cargoes once carried by CSL Tadoussac are not the same type of cement cargoes carried by both the English River and Stephen B. Roman as they both carry powdered cement. Also, I realize that the Cresswell carries cement clinker for St. Marys Cement as well. My point was that I believe that CSL no longer has the contract with Essroc in Essexville to carry clinker cargoes up there like they once did. I have not seen the CSL Tadoussac carry any cement clinker cargoes since she was painted red during the 2011 season. I don't believe the Frontenac has carried any clinker cargoes to Essexville either in many years?

The clinker cargoes that she used to haul are not like the powdered cement carried by the Stephen B. Roman and English River. If that was the case what would be the purpose of a specialized, small cement carrier if those same cargoes could be handled by a large bulker? The contract is now handled by Peter R. Cresswell, Bowmanville load to St. Marys in Detroit.

Regarding the question though of her hauling cement, I believe that she no longer does carry any cement loads as that has been taken over by the Stephen B. Roman of Essroc. The CSL Tadoussac was repainted red while in Toledo in 2011 and her last year of carrying cement may have been in 2010 she had a gray hull color for cement cargoes from 2001 winter lay-up 2011.

OPP was involved in something totally different and personal. Company and OPP are taking care of the problem

OPP would not be involved unless there is a criminal offence involved. Workplace safety is usually a provincial matter but lakes shipping comes under federal regulation and environmental issues as well if there was no spill. Asbestos is usually inert if encapsulated and usually remains in place until it has to be removed by specialists who use breathing apparatus and air cleaners etc. Its hazards are long term exposure that takes years to appear. I would think from the description as a spill this is petroleum or a chemical issue not asbestos.

Ah, ok thanks. Asbestos, not a good thing. Would the OPP get involved with that, cause I had heard that they got involved with something on the CSL Tadoussac when she was in Nanticoke?

There was a spill in the engine room and it is being cleaned up. No injuries, no environment issues.
