Algoma Equinox updates?

How far behind schedule is "way far behind schedule?" The last I heard was that they were going to launch two of their newbuilds come fall in either September or October. The Algoma Equinox and the Algoma Harvester were both to be launched this fall and that they had laid the steel for others to follow. This was all in the last edition of the Bear Facts newsletter from the Summer 2012 issue.

Again, listen to the conference call and look at the pictures in the accompanying slides. As of November 1, the Algoma Equinox is not yet ready for launching, and Harvester is still in the early stages of construction. Equinox is supposed to be ready for launching by the end of this month.

Last I heard on their quarterly conference call (earlier this month), was both Equinox bulkers (Equinox & Harvester) were due to be launched anytime now. Last pictures I saw were from quarterly investor presentation & showed one hull almost complete with second hull screen bulkheads in place. Perhaps there are delays with self-unloaders.

Anyone have any news, photos and updates on Algoma's new ships "the Equinox-class" being built in China? It seems that the CSL Trillium-class is getting all of the attention lately and always in the news but, not much is said or mentioned on the Algoma newbuilds in China. There has been no new updates either on the Algoma website and their Bear Facts newsletter lately either.

This is the same shipyard that had numerous delays when Algoma was building their tankers (the two larger ones)... part of the equinox deal was that they were to convert money already invested in the tankers into equinox builds.

Apparently they are way behind schedule, might be luckt to see a boat next year.
