Boatwatching directions
Re: Boatwatching directions
Hey I'd love to know where to go in Esky (and how to get there!) On my way to Esky I'd be coming back home so from the west.

Where M28 meets US41 go right to downtown Marquette. Once in downtown Mqt turn right and go down to mattson park on Lake Superior. Follow that road past the marina and go by the Marquette Maritime Museum and keep going along the lake out towards the ore loading dock. If you go through the city you will get mixed up on the Northern Michigan University campus.

Stay on M 28 through South Marquette heading north and it becomes Front Street. Take a right at Baraga St. or Washington and make a left on Lakeshore Drive. Follow it around the lower harbor past the Marine Museum and stay on Lakeshore until you reach the upper harbor and the loading dock. It is a beautiful drive and make sure to continue around Presque Isle for more scenery.
Re: Boatwatching directions
I am coming from Alpena, MI. So I would be coming from the east into Marquette on M-28.
Re: Boatwatching directions
I've never been to Esky, but I have stopped at Marquette many times. I drive through there on my way to and from school.
What direction are you coming from?
Once you get to the upper harbor it's a great place. The dock has a public park on the south side and a marina on the north side. Both and very accessible.

Boatwatching directions
I'm needing some help for a trip I'm taking next week. I'd like to try to get some photos at Escanaba and Marquette. Where is a good place to get photos and how do I get there. For instance how do I get to a good photo taking spot at upper harbor in Marquette? I'm not even sure where to go in Esky. Any help is greatly appreciated!
