The petcoke is being loaded aboard the Munson at Hallett 5. The Munson delivered stone to Reiss Inland and then shifted to Hallett to load. No idea whether the petcoke was a long-term stockpile there or if it was recently delivered. Don't know where it came from, either.

For much of the 1990s Hallett loaded petcoke on a fairly regular basis, primarily out of now-landlocked Dock 6 with vessels topping off downstream at Dock 5 if necessary. If I recall correctly they'd usually export something like 5 - 10 cargoes per season, although most if not all of them were put aboard oceangoing vessels. No idea where that petcoke was coming from or going to, either.

John G Munson loading in Duluth

Does anyone know what the story is with the Munson loading Pet coke in Duluth for Green Bay? Did the Reiss dock in Duluth have this cargo and no need for the product in Duluth so they are now sending it to GB where perhaps they need the cargo? Seems like a very odd cargo route, thanks for any info.
