Re: Testing the waters....so to speak
Hi Becky, from the main pages you can tell by the gray box. If it is filled in it has new posts. Once inside the topic you can click "First unread post" that is at the top of the topic. http://search.boatnerd.com/newsearch.htm

I liked the old page format better. With this one I can't tell which ones I've read and which ones are new.

Losers is right :-) I remeber the old days on the boards here when you couldn't ask a question with all the posts made by goof balls trying to start trouble. Pathetic!

Re: Testing the waters....so to speak
I agree Dave, I was on an amature radio board and it was runied by some board kids starting flames wars. Really killed the site, people stopped contributing, just because of some losers with no life.

Glad to see yiu on the new boards, Cathy. They take a little getting used to, but I think they are better.
I don't mind them except I have had an issue with the Confirmation code not viewing so have to make several attempts at that. I just wish the posting time was faster and that this didn't have to "clear customs" that delays the response time
Yes, there is a delay to posting but I prefer that this Board is moderated. I've had messages that were not posted or they were edited before posting, and I have no problem with that at all. I'm on Boards that are not moderated and the amount of off-topic or offensive stuff that shows up can get very discouraging. As an added bonus, the Moderator probably saves me from sounding even dumber then I actually am!

Alan, don't forget when you stop in DeTour to ask for directions to the road that goes by the Harriman. It's impressive to say the least. BTW, we stopped at the gift shop only to learn the proprietress was gone for the day-on her way to the Soo for some type of unofficial picnic. Like they thought we'd believe such a story. oshkosh boatnerd.
The "nerve" of her!! LOL....try that again this June and you'll be getting the same answer...that's my unofficial, official 4 days "holiday" and I have def. plans to be there!! CU there?
Unofficially, there are some minor details to work out but yes, it's highly likely you'll see me there..Oshkosh boatnerd

Testing the waters....so to speak
Hello everybody...decided to take the plunge and jump into the new swimming pool called, the New Regional Discussion Page......I figured, what the heck...FaceBook is a breeze and lots of fun and this new page can be also...The store (North Country Sports & Gifts) opens again Saturday, May 1 for the new season, so if any Boatnerds come north to the SMR, via DeTour, be sure to stop in, pick up a copy of the 2010 KYS and say hi!! to a fellow Boatnerd. Always fun to put a face to the name on here..
