The only thing less palatable to Algoma than running the 2 steamers would be selling them to someone else, so I'd assume there heading to port Colborne scrap yard!

I would think either term is appropriate. I would find it hard to believe that such a serious and final decision as scrapping would be made based on only one trip to the vessel.

Sounds odd, what's there to "explore" for the office personnel that took a tour, if scrapping is imminent?

I will correct my post. The word used was "investigate", not "explore".
