Re: The last great storm on the lakes
Maybe when Hurricane Agnes (or the downgrading of it) came through on a similar track back in 1972? We were anchored that day off of Pt. Peelee in Lake Erie. It was one rough ride over to Conneaut in the aftermath. The worst I ever sailed in, for sure.

The last great storm on the lakes
With the current wind conditions out on the Great Lakes along with the wave heights as well, when was the last time that we had a Great Lakes storm of this magnitude with this high of winds and wave heights like they talk about? Granted I know some of the November storms such as the Fitzgerald, Bradley, Morrell and the 1913 and 1940 Armistice were all bad ones with high winds and waves. I was just wondering other than the list of storms, has there been anything recent other than Sandy? Also, what is the highest wave height and the highest wind speed or gust ever recorded on the Great Lakes? Thanks for any information.
