In first light, before the sun came over the horizon, ship traffic was moving on the St. Clare.

Another beautiful, warmer, very windy, and low traffic day on the St. Clair River, but for once in a long while, PRT made the transit in daytime hours!

Today was warmer with a brisk wind out of the south, which added a bit of action to the bow shots.

Increased activity on the St. Clair River today, including Algoma Niagara leaving Sarnia lay-up and moving down to the Corunna fuel dock before heading up to Goderich.

No one was ready for another snow event -- actually an all day rain that turned to freezing rain and then snow -- but that's what happened along the St. Clair River overnight.

A cold, rainy, and quiet day on the St. Clair River.

Light traffic today.

It's a Canon SX400 IS. I am definitely not into cameras, with all the available extras. I know how to capture scenes or images and (despite not having a good, old-fashioned view finder, I'm very happy with the results I get.

Another gorgeous day which started with tug Leonard M and barge. I was delayed getting to the river this afternoon, so missed Algoma Innovator and barely made it in time to catch Ojibway, already on Lake Huron, and Hon. James L. Oberstar approaching the Bluewater Bridges.

Guest, I think you're seeing shadows caused by the sun shining through metal work to her right.

No traffic on the river until suppertime so, naturally, I left my unfinished meal and headed upstream for the single vessel but found a few still in lay-up at Sarnia. Late afternoon light was an added bonus!

This afternoon, the former USCGC Bramble left her dock at Port Huron and began the long trip to her new life and home in the Gulf of Mexico. (See today's story on the Boatnerd News Page).
