During the late part of the 2006 sailing season Sykes made its last trips to Lake Superior and the St. Marys River to date. The vessel loaded ore pellets in Superior for Lorain's Republic Tec. dock on December 27. Later that sailing season the vessel loaded 18,810 tons of pellet chips at Essar Export Dock, Soo, Ontario, for Burns Harbor's Mittal plant on January 12, 2007. The vessel completed its 2006 sailing season at Sturgeon Bay on Feb 6, 2007. The vessel loaded 7 cargoes in Marquette in 2002, 9 in Marquette in 2003 and two in Marquette in 2004. I believe its last Marquette cargo was loaded on May 20, 2004. All Marquette cargoes were unloaded at Rouge Steel in Dearborn.

I don't see it posted, but according to duluthboats.com the Sykes is due in Two Harbors 12/2 to load pellets.

What year did the Sykes go to Soo Ont to load at Essar Export Dock? Snuck up and down at night. ... And what year did it last load in Marquette? 2000-something I think
